The cause of menstrual pain should be easy to sort out. Marilyn is learning help patients talk to their doctors and identify endometriosis. Here's how.
We want to give you a little taste of what to expect from Marilyn! We've put together the four key elements of Marilyn the App and we're keen to hear your feedback!
When it comes to endometriosis, we know now that our GPs usually just don't know enough. Marilyn the App will have approachable and detailed tools to get you up-to-date on everything you need to know about your menstrual health. If you have the low-down on everything you need to know - from symptoms to available treatment options - chances are you'll have a better conversation with your GP. It's step one to challenging the 7.5 year wait.
When it comes to medicine, pain is super complex. No two people experience pain the same way and doctors rely on different kinds of tools to assess pain for pain management. Knowing their language can help, as can visual diagrams, charts and diaries. When it comes to explaining pain, Marilyn has you covered.
Being equipped with resources and supported by your in-pocket app, Marilyn, you'll have a comprehensive set of tools to help you talk to your doctor. Marilyn will provide touch-point access to latest guidelines, tips on how to speak with the doctor, your rights and NHS pathways.
... and then there is Marilyn's 'Secret Sauce'
Marilyn will comprehensively study the latest research, in addition to our own research, to provide predictive analysis on patient symptoms. It's important to know that an app cannot diagnose endometriosis, but it can correlate a patient's experience with existing, top-quality research. Marilyn will show the correlation between a patient's story (or testimony, as we like to call it) and that of diagnosed patients.
Ba-boom! 7.5 years down to just a couple of conversations.
